I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
